A good mix of wildlife and cultural experience. The tour takes you firstly to Mto wa Mbu village where you will meet with different indigenous people from different society in Tanzania as we have more than 120 tribes.

You can greet even shake hands with the locals as we are passing through their farms, schools, market, and local houses. We proceed to Lake Manyara for wildlife experience where the various bird species and animals explain why Manyara is a great park to be.

Intinerary Highlight

Lake Eyasi nested in north region of Karatu where we will interact with two tribe of Hadzabe who hunters are and Datoga who are naturally blacksmith and animal keeper. In both tribes expect to get a wonderful cultural experience for the time being in the village. Next is Ngorongoro Crater the supreme hub of the wildlife.

All Big five animals can be spotted here but to see them all depend with your lucky too.

Day 01

Arrival > Arusha City

After arrival and clear custom at Kilimanjaro airport, meet with our smiling driver at the exit door with your name on our sign board.

The driver will welcome you and assist to load your bags in the vehicle thereafter drives you to your accommodation in Arusha city while briefing you about our city and the tour in general. In the accommodation the driver will help you with check-inn process then confirm the next day schedule.

(Depend on arrive time, salesperson will meet you for safari briefing but if not, briefing will be scheduled next morning before heading to the bush)

Accommodation: Overnight stay at  Hotel on Bed and Breakfast Basis

Day 02

Arusha > Mto wa mbu / Manyara

After breakfast, our driver will pick you and drive firstly to Mto wa Mbu village for cultural excursion afterward proceed to Lake Manyara National park for game drive.

Activity 1: Cultural tour; Mto wa Mbu village is the village which offer insight of local practices of more than 120 ethnic groups found in Tanzania. The tour involves walking in village for about 1-hr to 1-hr and 30 minutes guided by the local guide who takes good care of you and explain the total way of life of the locals. Among other things you will see and learn about their rice and banana plantations, appearance and how they run local schools, local houses on how they are made and how local people lives in and passing through local market to see local products and how local business are conducted. Local hot lunch prepared by local woman will be saved in the village

Activity 2. Game drive. We inter into the wild of Lake Manyara National park to enjoy the natural beauty of the rift valley park. At the gate you will be welcomed by monkeys while your driver is clearing the registration processes. Lake Manyara has so many giraffes; zebras, elephants, wildebeests, impala, waterbuck, and warthog, small known shy Kik’s dikdik as well as Klipspringer along the ramps of the escarpment.

Leopards are hosted within the broken forests and escarpment, healthy lions that are widely known for their tree climbing pranks. This used to be a special character of the park which is not the case today. Regarded as Africa’s largest, huge herds of baboons are expected by most of the travelers.

Early evening, we check out of the park and drive to our accommodation for relaxation and overnight

Day 03

Karatu > Lake Eyasi

Early in the morning depart with breakfast boxes together with lunch boxes followed by 1- hour drive to Lake Eyasi for Hadzabe and Datoga excursions.

Lake Eyasi is the unique place in the northern part of Tanzania where the famous Hadzabe and Datoga tribes are found. Upon arrival at the village we start by joining ‘Hadza” people who are typically depending on hunting and bring home honey to feed their families which traditionally is done by men while women and children gather fruits and roots to supplement their diet. Hunting demonstration is mostly done in the morning by these proudly people as there is a high chance of getting a kill than in the afternoon. They also show their traditional way of making fire by using wood and thick stick which is also a great experience not to miss.

After Hadzabe excursion we join nearby tribe of Datoga who naturally are blacksmith and pastoralists. They resemble with Masai in their culture of keeping domestic animals and depending largely on milk products and meat for their diet and moving whenever the needs of their cattle dictates. They also doing farming whereby they have plots of maize, millet beans, and onion. The blacksmiths use local materials to make local tools and weapons for their daily use and other weapons they exchange it to Hadzabe people who use them for hunting.

After excursions we drive back to our accommodation in Karatu region for relaxation and overnight.

Day 04

Karatu > Ngorongoro Crater > Airport

After breakfast, depart toward the descending gate of Ngorongoro crater. Ranked as one of the most spectacular wildlife destinations on Earth, this long-extinct volcano is the world’s largest intact caldera. Sheltering within its steep-sided walls are diverse habitats, including permanent wetlands, which support astonishing numbers of animals.

Ngorongoro has long protected a thriving population of big game species: great-tusked elephants, robust black rhinos and famous black-maned lions. This is one of the few places in Africa where the Big 5 can be seen in a single game drive, and there is much more to observe. Herds of gazelle, wildebeest and zebra are resident here while smaller predators like jacals and serval cats are often seen along with lions and their eternal enemies, spotted hyena.

After ascending from crater floor, we drive to Kilimanjaro International Airport for drop off and check-in to your departure flight
