“A good mix of wildlife and cultural experience”. The tour takes you firstly to Mto wa Mbu village to get a cultural test of the indigenous people from different societies in Tanzania. We proceed to Lake Manyara for a wildlife experience where the various bird species and animals explain why Manyara is a great park to be.

Next, is Lake Eyasi nested in the north region of Karatu where we interact with two tribes of Hadzabe who are hunters, and Datoga who are naturally blacksmith and animal keepers. In both tribes expect to get a wonderful cultural experience for the time being in the village. Next is Ngorongoro Crater “the supreme hub of the wildlife”. All Big five animals can be spotted here however depend on your luck to see them all.

DAY 1: Kilimanjaro airport – Arusha city

Driving distance: 55km/1hr

After arrival and clear custom at Kilimanjaro airport, meet with our smiling driver at the exit door with your name on our sign board who will welcome you and assist to load your bags in the vehicle thereafter drive you to your accommodation in Arusha city.

In the accommodation the driver will help you with check-inn process then confirm the next day schedule.

(Depend on arrive time, salesperson will meet you for safari briefing; if not, briefing will be scheduled next morning before heading to the bush)

Accommodation: Overnight stay at Kibo Palace Hotel on Bed and Breakfast Basis

DAY 2: Arusha city – Mto Wa Mbu Village visit - Lake Manyara National Park - Karatu Village

Driving Distance: 175kms / 2hrs&40minutes

After breakfast, our driver will pick you and drive firstly to Mto wa Mbu village for cultural excursion then to Lake Manyara National park for game drive.

Activity 1: Cultural tour; -Mto wa Mbu village is the village which offer insight of more than 120 ethnic groups practises. The tour involves walking in village for about 1-hr to 1-hr and 30 minutes guided by the local guide who take good care of you and explain all what is in the village.

Among other things, you will see and learn about their rice and banana plantations, local schools, local houses and involve passing through local market to see local products and how local business are conducted.

Local hot lunch prepared by local woman will be saved in the village

Activity 2. Game drive. We inter into the wild of Lake Manyara National park to enjoy the natural beauty of the rift valley park. At the gate you will be welcomed by monkeys while your driver is clearing the registration processes.
Lake Manyara has so many giraffes; zebras, elephants, wildebeests, impala, waterbuck, and warthog, small known shy Kik’s dikdik as well as Klipspringer along the ramps of the escarpment. Leopards are hosted within the broken forests and escarpment, healthy lions that are widely known for their tree climbing pranks. This used to be a special character of the park which is not the case today.

Regarded as Africa’s largest, huge herds of baboons are expected by most of the travelers. Early evening, we check out of the park and drive to our accommodation for relaxation and overnight

DAY 3: Karatu – Lake Eyasi - Karatu

Driving distance: 140km 2hrs (2-ways)

Early in the morning depart with breakfast boxes together with lunch boxes followed by 1-hour drive to Lake Eyasi for Hadzabe and Datoga excursions.

Lake Eyasi is the unique place in the northern part of Tanzania where the famous Hadzabe and Datoga tribes are found. Upon arrival at the village we start by joining ‘Hadza” people who are typically depending on hunting and bring home honey to feed their families which traditionally is done by men while women and children gather fruitsand roots to supplement their diet.

Hunting demonstration is mostly done in the morning by these proudly people as there is a high chance of getting a kill than in the afternoon. you will see their traditional way of making fire by using wood and thick stick which is also a great experience not to miss.

After Hadzabe excursion; we join nearby tribe of Datoga who naturally are blacksmith and pastoralists. They resemble with Masai in their culture of keeping domestic animals and depending largely on milk products and meat for their diet and moving whenever the needs of their cattle dictates.

Farming is also among their primary duty whereby they cultivate maize, millet beans, and onion. The blacksmiths use local materials to make local tools and weapons for their daily use and other weapons are exchanged to Hadzabe people who use them for hunting.

After excursions we drive back to our accommodation in Karatu region for relaxation and overnight.

DAY 4: Karatu - Ngorongoro Crater – Kilimanjaro Airport

Driving distance: 248km/5hrs

After breakfast, depart toward the descending gate of Ngorongoro crater. Ranked as one of the most spectacular wildlife destinations on Earth, this long-extinct volcano is the world’s largest intact caldera.

Sheltering within its steep-sided walls are diverse habitats, including permanent wetlands, which support astonishing numbers of animals. Ngorongoro has long protected and thriving population of big game species: great-tusked elephants, robust black rhinos and famous black-maned lions.

This is one of the few places in Africa where the Big 5 can be seen in a single game drive, and there is much more to observe. Herds of gazelle, wildebeest and zebra are resident here while smaller predators like caracal and serval cats are often seen along with lions and their eternal enemies, spotted hyena.

After ascending from crater floor, we drive to Kilimanjaro International Airport for check-in to your departure flight
